2. Description of Karto Services

Karto operates a digital marketplace platform connecting consumers with independent local third-party vendors (such as restaurants, kirana grocers, fruit/vegetable mandis, and licensed pharmacies) and independent delivery partners (riders). Karto facilitates catalog browsing, order processing, delivery routing, and payment collection.

3. Customer Accounts & Verification

To place orders, users must register with an active mobile phone number verified via One-Time Password (OTP). You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and ensuring delivery address accuracy.

4. Merchant & Vendor Terms

• Vendors are solely responsible for food freshness, hygienic packaging, accurate item descriptions, and compliance with local trade/FSSAI licensing laws.
• Orders accepted by a vendor must be prepared within the stipulated window indicated on the merchant portal.
• Payouts are settled into the merchant's verified bank account in accordance with agreed commission schedules.

5. Delivery Fleet & Fulfillment

Delivery partners operate as independent contractors. Deliveries require OTP verification at the customer's doorstep to ensure tamper-proof handoff. Estimated delivery times (~20 mins) are approximations subject to traffic, weather, and store prep times.

6. Pricing, Payments & Cancellations

Prices shown on Karto reflect merchant pricing plus applicable delivery and platform service fees. Orders once prepared or dispatched cannot be cancelled without cancellation fee liability. Refunds for missing or damaged items are processed following merchant and rider log review.

7. City Franchise Agreements

Franchise territory licenses are subject to distinct bilateral commercial agreements executed directly with Karto administration and Founder Mridul Mishra, conferring exclusive territorial operational rights conditioned upon service quality adherence.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable Indian law, Karto and its directors, founders, and affiliates shall not be held liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from store product defects, unauthorized third-party access, or transit delays.
